Duct Fittings & Transitions

Custom elbows, taps, square-to-rounds and transitions that connect your duct system. Pro Duct fabricates lined and unlined fittings for Tri-Cities projects, with dimensions, orientation and connection styles reviewed before your order is made.

Square-to-round sheet metal transitions arranged outside the shop

From Pro Duct’s supplied company photo collection.

The most demanding part of a duct run is often the piece between two straight sections. Pro Duct makes fittings that turn airflow, create branches and connect openings with different sizes or shapes. Our offering includes turning-vane 90s, dampered and undampered round taps, square-to-rounds, transitions and metal caps. A clear sketch helps us understand the exact geometry. Add the opening sizes, overall length, offset direction and end connections so we can quote a fitting that matches the rest of your project.

Fabrication options

  • Turning-vane 90s
  • Lined and unlined elbows
  • Dampered round taps for rectangular duct
  • Undampered round taps for duct or round pipe
  • Square-to-round fittings
  • Concentric and offset transitions
  • Ductmate connections
  • Metal duct caps

Elbows and turning-vane 90s

A 90-degree elbow changes the direction of a duct run. Turning vanes guide air through the bend in a rectangular elbow, with the arrangement determined by the design. Include the inlet and outlet dimensions, throat or radius details, airflow direction and any vane requirements. Tell us whether the fitting is lined so the clear opening can be reviewed correctly.

Taps and branches in the right position

Round taps connect a branch to a rectangular duct or round pipe. Dampered taps provide a means of adjustment when the system design calls for one; undampered taps provide the branch connection without that component. Specify the main duct size, branch diameter, tap location and damper access direction. A marked drawing is especially helpful when several branches are close together.

Transitions between sizes and shapes

Square-to-round fittings connect rectangular openings with round pipe. Other transitions change size, offset a centerline or adapt a duct run to an equipment opening. Measure both ends and provide the available length, with any flat side or offset clearly marked. Connection styles also belong on the drawing, including Ductmate requirements where they form part of the specified joint.

Common questions

Can you work from a hand sketch?

A readable sketch is a useful starting point. Include dimensions, orientation, material, quantity and connection details. We will review any missing information before the order is confirmed.

Do you make taps with and without dampers?

Yes. We offer dampered and undampered round taps for duct or round pipe. Specify the branch size, main duct dimensions and access orientation.

What measurements are needed for a square-to-round?

Provide the rectangular width and height, round diameter, overall length, centerline offset and connection style at each end. Identify the airflow direction and any space restrictions.
