Plenums & Filter Boxes

Base cans, custom filter cans, inline filter boxes and register boxes fabricated around your equipment and duct connections. Share dimensions, filter requirements and access needs with our Kennewick crew to begin your custom order.

Equipment connections rarely work well when important dimensions are left to guesswork. Pro Duct fabricates plenums, base cans and filter housings with the surrounding system in mind. We review the equipment opening, connecting duct, available space and the direction someone will need to reach a filter or service panel. For contractors replacing equipment or building a new HVAC system, that attention helps establish the details of a practical assembly before the metal is cut and formed in our Kennewick shop.

Fabrication options

  • Custom supply and return plenums
  • Base cans
  • Custom filter cans
  • Inline filter boxes
  • Register boxes for round pipes
  • Equipment connection transitions
  • Lined and unlined boxes

Plenums and base cans

A plenum connects equipment with the duct system, while a base can may form part of the connection beneath a unit. The equipment layout determines the shape and dimensions. Send the model information, opening sizes and required height, along with any liner or reinforcement details. Identify nearby walls and service clearances so we can review the piece in its actual setting.

Filter housings with service access

Custom filter cans and inline filter boxes need to match both the airflow path and the filter being used. Provide the actual filter dimensions, thickness and quantity, plus the side from which it must be removed. The mechanical design determines filter selection and airflow requirements. We focus the fabrication review on the housing geometry, connecting openings and access arrangement.

Register boxes for round pipe

A register box connects a round branch pipe to a register or grille opening. To quote one, we need both the round connection size and the rectangular face dimensions. The box depth, collar position and mounting details also matter. Include whether the assembly is lined and identify any framing or ceiling constraints that limit how the connection can be positioned.

Common questions

What do you need to quote a custom filter can?

Send the actual filter dimensions, filter thickness and quantity, housing dimensions, inlet and outlet sizes, and the side needed for filter removal.

Can a register box connect to round pipe?

Yes. Specify the round pipe diameter, register opening, box depth, collar location and any lining or mounting requirements.

Can you make a replacement plenum for existing equipment?

Yes, subject to review of the dimensions and scope. Photos help explain the setting, but accurate measurements and equipment information are needed to confirm the fabrication details.
